[Hello, whoever you are. You're stuck with this kid, in a situation that is up to you. His vocabulary and social skills are both kind of limited and he seems to have the mental age of a six year old, but surely that's not too much of a problem. Right?

[ Nope. Not at all! But that might just be because this other kid (who really isn't a kid, but details, details) just keeps sitting around half-listening to the music coming from his hood. While waiting for an update to their situation, of course.

Except not doing much else is getting pretty old and boring now. Boo. Conversation time, maybe? And suddenly an options window pops up. What will you choose? ]

[Oh oops someone is talking to him. Nai was in the process of considering how nice the leaves on that potted plant might taste if nibbled on, but fortunately, Hiro pulls him out of that line of thought.]

Huh? [How... long? Like, as in that minutes and hours thing? Uh. Um. Err...] ...I don't know.

And it's official. We've lost track of time.

[ Well, could be worse? It could be really dark. Or really smell. Or even worse, he could be stuck with Daichi! ...Okay, okay, he was (half-)kidding about that last one.

Yeah. Which card games have you played?

[ As he says that, Hiro quickly takes out a deck of bunny-themed cards from his pocket and holds it out towards the other kid. ]

[The kid takes them carefully. Ooh. These are pretty...]

I haven't played any yet?

Absolutely none?

[ That's actually a little surprisingly, but taking it in stride. ]

Well, can't be helped. I can teach you Old Maid if you want?

Okay!

[Well, he is handling the cards like he's not sure what to do with them. Like at all. Speaking of which, he'll just hand them back now because apparently you are going to show him what to do.]

[ Thanks, kid. He'll be taking them back and picking out a joker card. ]

First off, the most important thing is that if you have this card at the end of the game, you lose.

Once that's done, Hiro shuffles the deck and then starts splitting the cards between them. ]

And...there. That one's yours.

[insectivore]

[OKAY. GOTCHA. Kind of. Sort of. Maybe.

Nai nods again and proceeds to spread his cards out on his lap so he can see them. And so Hiro can see them. Oops.]

You should probably hide your cards from my view.
